What is vaginal estrogen and who is it for?
Vaginal estrogen is low-dose local hormone therapy (cream, tablet, or ring) that treats vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, and some urinary symptoms caused by low estrogen. It has minimal systemic absorption compared with systemic HRT and is often appropriate even when whole-body hormones are not. HormoneFit prescribes and monitors vaginal estrogen for Ontario women when indicated.
